وأشار جهاز الخدمة السرية في البيان إلى أن أحد المارة أصيب أيضا بالرصاص خلال تبادل إطلاق النار، دون أن يقدم معلومات عن حالته.

وأوضح أنه بعدما فتح المسلح النار على عناصر أمنية عند نقطة تفتيش قرب البيت الأبيض، “رد عملاء الخدمة السرية بإطلاق النار، ما أسفر عن إصابة المشتبه به الذي نقل إلى مستشفى في المنطقة حيث توفي لاحقا”.
