Laura Clery has spoken about what it was like being injected with fentanyl as a recovering addict after being crushed by a 600-pound fridge in a freak accident

Comedian and social media star Laura Clery has revealed she was injected with fentanyl after being crushed underneath a 600-pound refrigerator in what she described as the “most terrifying night” of her life.

The 39-year-old shared footage from inside an ambulance after the freak accident, where she could be seen wearing a neck brace and lying on a stretcher while chatting with firefighters.

In the clip, she asked: “So I was crushed by a 600-pound fridge…is that correct?” One of the men from the fire department confirmed this was the case.

Laura later praised the emergency crews who rushed to save her, calling them “actual heroes” after they reportedly smashed through her garage door and lifted the appliance off her body.

According to the comedian, the terrifying incident happened while she was alone in the house with her two children. She explained that the fridge suddenly toppled over and trapped her against a kitchen counter, leaving her unable to breathe or move.

Her former husband, Stephen Hilton, revealed he received a frantic message from Laura during the ordeal which read: “I’m dying. Come by now now now.”

In a Substack post he shared online, Stephen admitted he initially thought the text may have been a joke because it seemed so out of character.

Moments later, he received a panicked phone call from Laura pleading: “Help me help me help me help me.” The producer said that at first he was afraid something terrible had happened to their children, seven-year-old Alfie and five-year-old Poppy, who were both inside the house when Laura had her shock accident.

He added that he could hear Laura desperately trying to coach their daughter through helping her while trapped beneath the fridge, saying: “Go and get me a cushion. Go unlock the door.” However, Poppy replied: “I’m just a kid.”

When Stephen arrived at the property, emergency services had already flooded the scene. He later explained that it took three firefighters to physically lift the appliance away from Laura.

In an emotional update she shared on Instagram after the accident, Laura thanked the firefighters who rescued her, writing: “This was right after the fentanyl hit and all of my pain away (instantly) I just need to say THANK YOU to these AMAZING firefighters who saved my life!!”

The influencer revealed she was initially worried about being given fentanyl due to her history with addiction, but said the pain was unbearable.

She explained: “I was nervous about fentanyl, but the pain was so severe that they injected it into me and thank God I had no craving to do it again as a recovering addict. That’s something we have to think about even when facing in immense amount of pain.”

Laura also told her audience that one firefighter recognised her while helping save her life. “And then right as one of them pushes the fridge off me, he goes, ‘Wait…I watch all of your videos!’ and they all start hyping me up,” she joked.

“Like sir…I am currently being flattened but thank you,” she continued. Despite the horrifying ordeal, Laura confirmed she made it through without any broken bones and said she feels “so lucky” her children were unharmed.

She claimed the fridge was not correctly secured to the wall after recent work was carried out on the appliance, and this meant that when her seven-year-old son climbed on it, the fridge became completely dislodged and fell on her.
