Ariana has dropped her newest music video, and it’s loaded with shoppable beauty moments
It’s a good week to be an Ariana Grande fan. Not only has she kicked off the start of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, but she’s also dropped brand new music and a cinema-inspired music video to go along with it. Hate That I Made You Love Me has already reached number one on the charts, helped along by the emotionally charged video featuring Justin Long.
If you watched it in complete awe of Ariana’s ethereal look, you’re not alone. Our beauty team has been refreshing both hers and her r.e.m. beauty brand’s Instagrams for days, hoping they’d drop some details. While we haven’t had a full breakdown, per se, Ariana has just posted a behind-the-scenes video, in which she can be seen using several products from r.e.m.
To save you the hassle, we’ve screenshotted every product shown in the clip. From her secret to ultra-glossy lips to a limited-edition blush palette from her Wicked era, here’s how Ariana looked so glam in her new music video…
r.e.m. beauty essential drip glossy balm

Ariana uses two shades of this in her music video: Cosmo, a peachy pink, and On Ice, a clear. Boots and Sephora are both the main UK stockists for the brand, but you’ll find more stock for these glosses at Boots at the moment. As you’d imagine, all the Ariana fanfare at the moment is causing many items from r.e.m. to sell out fast.
These particular glosses are special because you get a tint and a gloss in one. The formula is infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid and nourishing superfruit antioxidants, and they feature double-sided wands: one side has a paddle for easy application, while the other side is contoured for precision.
r.e.m. beauty Sweetener Matte Concealer
In the new BTS video, Ariana can be seen swatching something from a round pot on the back of her hand, before touching up her skin. I zoomed in and discovered it was this little pot of skin goodness.
In a very impressive 60 shades, it’s infused with a ‘hydrasmooth’ essence: a blend of hydrating hyaluronic acid, ashwagandha to fight free radicals, and antioxidant-rich vitamin E. Use it under your eyes, dab it over blemishes, or just as a daytime skin touch-up, like Ariana.
r.e.m. beauty Sweet Dreams Eyeshadow Quad
Though you can’t actually see the shades inside the quad, you can spot Ariana looking into the mirror of this eyeshadow palette. If you look at the mix of lilac and pink tones washed over her lids, it also confirms to me that she probably used both Fembot Fatale and Nightcap in Tokyo to create the look.
Copy her eyeshadow by keeping the inner corners of your lids a light shade and blending that white or pearl out into a pink or lilac at the outer corners. Finish with some wispy lashes for her trademark wide-eyed look.
r.e.m. beauty Hypernova Satin Matte Blush
This little pot can be spotted if you look closely at one of the clips showing her make-up table. While my best guess is her exact shade is Pinking of You, it also could be Rose on Mars. Either way, she was definitely wearing the blush for the filming of Hate That I Made You Love Me.
This weightless blush promises vibrant one-swipe pigment for ‘a beautifully blurred soft-focus finish’. It’s got some impressive trial results, with 100% of testers reporting visibly smooth and blurred skin, and 97% saying it layers well over make-up.
r.e.m. beauty x Wicked: For Good Cherry Blossom Blush Palette
Finally, my last spot, and the one I had to really look hard at. It appears Ariana is using a three-shade face palette of some sort, but when I looked, there wasn’t really one that matched. However, I believe it’s the Cherry Blossom Blush Palette from the Wicked collaboration range.
Featuring three shades of blushers in matte, shimmer and melange finishes, it creates a floral inspired look with a beautifully blurred effect.
