Molly-Mae has opted for a brand new seat from the stroller brand once dubbed the ‘Ferrari of the pram world’

As you’d imagine, Molly-Mae has invested in the very best newborn essentials for her new arrival. Pictured this week on her first outing with partner Tommy Fury, daughter Bambi and newborn son, the former Love Island star can be seen carrying the tot in a brand new piece of equipment that promises to make travelling with a baby easier than ever.

From the brand that creates prams that have been dubbed ‘Ferraris’ of the stroller world – and ones also loved by the likes of Michelle Keegan and Victoria Beckham – comes a brand new car seat that Molly-Mae has already got her hands on.

In the new snaps, Tommy can be seen carrying iCandy’s Cocoon 360 Car Seat in the Sandstone colourway– a new launch featuring clever tech that makes a real difference when trying to strap a newborn into a car. Weighing just 4.2kg, it’s relatively lightweight compared to some infant carriers, while the adjustable headrest and enhanced side ventilation help keep newborns supported and comfortable from their very first journeys.

It’s also compatible with the Cocoon 360 ISOFIX base (sold separately), which allows the seat to rotate towards the car door – a feature many parents find particularly useful when getting a sleeping baby in and out of the car. The base also features automatic locking and a foldable support leg, while the choice of three neutral colourways makes it a practical option that also looks sleek.

Priced at £199, it’s not a cheap buy, but it’s a reliable one – especially if you spend a fair amount of time doing other school drop-offs and quick car trips. If you want the full system, the Cocoon base can be picked up for £169. If you want to buy them both together, Mamas and Papas also sells the seat with the base for £349.

This isn’t the first time Molly-Mae has been spotted out with an iCandy accessory. Three years ago, when Bambi was a newborn, the star posted to Instagram: “Sunny walks with my little bestie. Pram is @icandyworlduk one of my favourite baby items I own… we use this pram everyday and just adore it.”

The pram in question is the Peach 7 in Biscotti – a model also chosen recently by Michelle Keegan, who opted for the Coco colourway.

If you’re shopping around for other car seats for your own newborn, there are plenty on the market. Maxi-Cosi’s comparable Pebble 360 Pro2Car Seat retails for £259.99 and comes with a couple of glowing reviews, while on the more affordable end of the scale, Joie’s i-Juva R129 i-Size Birth To 12 months Car Seat is on sale for £50 on Argos at the moment.
