Soon the couple fell in love and tied the knot in 2005 in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California. Though it was Sandra’s first marriage, but third for Jessie as he was previously married to Karla James and Janine Lindemulder.

In 2010, Sandra won the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in The Blind Side. In her acceptance speech, she praised her husband, Jesse. Just weeks after her Oscar win, Sandra’s life was hit by the biggest storm when her husband, Jesse’s affair with tattoo model Michelle “Bombshell” McGee was exposed.

Michelle went on to describe her 11-month affair with Jesse which was purely sexual. Michelle revealed the whole affair began when she sent James a social-media friend request, hoping to be on his television show. But he was interested in having sexual relations with her. She went on to tell In Touch Weekly that James invited her to his West Coast Choppers motorcycle shop, where they ended up having sex on his coffin-shaped couch while Sandra was away filming The Blind Side.

Michelle also revealed that she carried on with the affair out of ‘boredom’ and had nothing better to do and said, ‘It was a sexual thing’. But Michelle also shared that when she met Jesse, the TV star told her that he and Sandra were separated. Though Jesse told her that she and Sandra were separated, she had no intentions of marrying him.

Jesse James’s affair news came as a shock for Sandra, who had no clue about it. In fact, Sandra got to know about the affair from a tabloid. People’s senior editor, Kate Coyne told at that time that it was a shocker for Sandra, who was clueless about being cheated on. In her words:

“Sandra learned about this from a tabloid hours before the tabloid took the story public. To be ambushed in that way, she was completely stunned. Everyone we spoke to … made it very clear Sandra had no idea it was going on.”

Soon after the scandal, Sandra Bullock filed for a divorce in April 2010 and it was finalised in June 2010. James issued a public apology to Bullock and their children, citing “bad judgment”. However, he justified cheating on his wife and said:

“Yeah, I did cheat on my wife…Yeah, I stood up and took accountability for it and apologised. And that’s end of story…The easy [potshot] is like, ‘Oh, well you cheated on Sandra Bullock.’ That’s the world’s easiest comeback.'”

Apart from tattoo model and striper, Michelle Mcgee, Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock with many other women.
