The Premier League leaders are seeking a ninth straight win in all competitions when Arsenal travel to Burnley on Saturday.

The Gunners, who beat Crystal Palace in their last top-flight match six days ago, start four points clear of second-placed Bournemouth and have not conceded in six games across the league, Champions League and EFL Cup.

Burnley are five points above the relegation zone and three off the top half of the table, having beaten Leeds United 2-0 at home before winning 3-2 at Wolves last Sunday.

Centre-back Jordan Beyer (hamstring) and right-back Connor Roberts and forward Zeki Amdouni (both knee) are out for Burnley.

“We’re at home and our stadium has been a fortress for us,” said manager Scott Parker, whose team had taken all of their previous seven points this season at Turf Moor before the win at Molineux.

“While we’re up against a top team in Arsenal, we need to make it tough for them and do the polar opposite of what they want.

“Our fans are going to need to bring absolutely humongous energy into the stadium and our players are going to need to bring unbelievable spirit, showing the best version of themselves.

“We’ll be fearless in our approach and in how we go about it – showing confidence, desire and passion – and with that, make it as uncomfortable for them as we possibly can.”

Gabriel Martinelli is out for Arsenal with an injury the Brazil international sustained in the 2-0 EFL Cup last-16 win at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday.

Defender William Saliba had been a doubt after coming off at half-time against Palace and midfielder Martin Odegaard and forwards Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are all absent with knee injuries, although manager Mikel Arteta says “some of” his sidelined players could return “pretty soon”.

“It’s difficult to [name] a game,” added Arteta, noting the international break between November 9 and 23.

“After that, I think we’ll have some back. I don’t know if it’s going to be all of them… but we’ll be quite close by then.”
