Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has revealed she has given birth to her first child, who arrived two weeks early and weighted 6.5lbs
Nicola Roberts has become a mother for the first time. The former Girls Aloud star, 40, shared the sweet news in an Instagram post on Sunday.
She gushed: “Our beautiful baby girl is here. We haven’t stopped staring at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head.
“She arrived healthy and content a couple of weeks ago at 38 weeks weighing 6.5lbs and is thriving. It’s heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she’s ours.”
Nicola uploaded snaps of fiance Mitch Hahn proudly carrying his daughter in her travel chair as they left the hospital. She also shared a sweet image of her daughter’s tiny hand.
Her moving post was met with huge amounts of love from Nicola’s famous pals. Among them was AJ Odudu who wrote in capitals: “Congratulations, ” with a love heart emoji.
Katie Piper also wrote: “So happy for you both,” while Jess Wright said: “Beautiful news – congratulations.”
Nicola first announced she was expecting to become a mum five months ago on Christmas day. The singer admitted she couldn’t wait at the time.
She said in the festive social media post: “Mitch and I have had the most magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families.
“We’ve been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring.”
At 22 weeks pregnant, Nicola underwent surgery to “help keep her baby in”. In April, she posted a series of pictures from her week, where her full baby bump was on show.
In the caption, she said: “Some pics I took this week.. Hasn’t it been so nice to really feel spring..
“I’ve been under instruction not to do much since I had the surgery at 22 weeks to help keep baby in. Hitting that 34 week mark was a big relief.
“I now only have a few weeks left. Safe to say, this last bit is not the easiest is it?! In one breath, it will be nice to feel more comfortable again but I will also really miss my bump and having this tiny little thing in there.”
Nicola and Mitch have been dating for four years. They were first spotted together in June 2022 as they enjoyed an Elton John concert.
Semi-professional footballer Mitch popped the proposal question to the star two years later. She was seen sporting a big oval diamond on her ring finger as she entertained the crowd at Brighton Pride in 2024.
