What was meant to be a picture-perfect hen party has spiralled into a full-blown family feud for Holly Ramsay and her fiancé, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
The 25-year-old daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay celebrated her upcoming wedding with a lavish weekend at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, where she was joined by her mum Tana, sisters Megan and Tilly, and close family friend Victoria Beckham.
Holly shared a string of glamorous Instagram snaps from the getaway, writing: “My girls gave me the best weekend, my heart is so full.”
Victoria also posted her own pictures from the “girls’ night”, but one guest was notably missing from the celebrations: Adam’s mother, Caroline Peaty.
According to a report made by an insider to The Daily Mail, Caroline was not invited to the exclusive hen bash, and tensions between the two families have been brewing ever since.
While Adam’s sister Bethany was present, the Peaty matriarch was reportedly left off the guest list entirely. A source claims that Caroline is now “no longer welcome” at the wedding, which is due to take place at Bath Abbey this Christmas, leaving Bethany as the only Peaty relative expected to attend.
Those close to the Ramsays say there have been “difficulties” between the two families ever since Holly and Adam started dating after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
An insider told The Daily Mail : “The Ramsays are rich and they like the finer things in life. The Peatys are much more down-to-earth. It’s a bit of a clash.”
Tensions reportedly came to a head when Caroline purchased a dress for the big day — only to be told Holly and Adam didn’t approve of it. They allegedly offered to buy her another outfit to wear that they would choose.
They planned a trip to Bath to find the new dress, but that fell apart after a recent knife attack in Cambridgeshire caused train cancellations, leaving Caroline and her husband Mark unable to travel.
According to the Mail Adam was furious over the change in plans. Adam’s aunt Janet later claimed online that the dress dispute was the final straw, writing that “Holly and Adam have broken my darling sister.”
Caroline herself shared a cryptic post that appeared to address the ongoing rift between her and her son’s bride-to-be. She wrote: “The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most. When you love someone, you protect them from the pain, you don’t become the cause of it.”
Her sister Louise also weighed in, writing directly to Holly on Instagram: “You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law, to your hen night yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night.”
Despite the family fallout, friends say the Ramsays “adore” Adam and are grateful for the happiness he’s brought Holly after her battles with mental health and addiction.
Holly, who has been sober for almost five years, has been open about her recovery journey, while Adam has also spoken publicly about his own struggles with self-destructive habits.
A source close to the family said: “No matter what family dynamics are at play, when you have a global celebrity family and a normal one, there are going to be clashes. Sadly, there’s no reconciliation in sight.”
