Kacheguda police said 21-year-old Rahul’s whereabouts had gone missing after he told his friend that he was going outside at the Kacheguda Tourist Hotel Chowrasta on May 27.

Police said that an investigation was launched following a complaint from his father Rankam Rajwswar. Rahul was staying in the hostel of an engineering college in Hyderabad.

Basing on CCTV footage, police identified that Rahul boarded Sabarri Express after leaving Kacheguda. On May 30, police found a body at the well in singarayakonda PS limits and registered a case. Later, it was identified that it was Rahul’s body.

Reportedly, Rahul sent a WhatsApp message to a girl in his college that he is loving her. Some of the girl’s friends mounted pressure on Rahul to apologise for sending the message. Else, they threatened him of informing to the college management about his misbehavior.

Rahul’s parents alleged that their son’s death was not suicide but a murder and urged the police to investigate the case and do justice to them.
