Former EastEnders actor Martin Kemp was brutally honest when he was questioned over which celeb campmate filled him with fear when it came to securing meals

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star Martin Kemp has admitted which campmate he didn’t trust to do the Bushtucker Trials and earn food for the camp. The Spandau Ballet star, 64, became the sixth celebrity to be given the boot from the camp this year on Thursday.

Following his exit he made the most of a delicious meal of cheese and onion crisps and pineapple-topped pizza as he appeared on spin-off series Unpacked to chat about his camp experience. Martin, was joined on the couch by last year’s winner, McFly star Danny Jones.

Martin was discussing Angry Ginge’s recent trial which aired on Friday’s show and saw him earn the maximum six stars for camp. He said of the efforts from Ginge: “Oh he’s brilliant at them. You knew when he was going out he was bringing back stars.”

Unpacked host Kemi Rodgers then asked: “So you felt confident in him?” to which he replied: “Oh yeah, without a doubt.”

She then probed further on the topic as she asked: “Was there anyone you didn’t feel confident about going out [to win food for camp], be honest Mart?”

He looked around uncomfortably before he candidly replied: “Urgh yes, Shona. I thought I would be worried if Shona went out to bring home the bacon. I wasn’t too sure.

“But listen, I wanted everyone to get a go, because it’s not about in the end going out to get the dinner. It’s about knowing they are going to be filled with adrenaline and endorphins which you lack when you’re in there.”

Martin has already opened up about his diet in camp described the effects sugar withdrawal had on him, admitting he was desperate for a bit of Toblerone chocolate while struggling with the bland rice and beans diet.

Martin told The Sun : “I have missed everything. I didn’t have anything. The thing you think about most is sugar. When I do something like that, I don’t crave carbs, I crave sugar.

“At one point I had a dream that Toblerones were dancing around my head. Toblerones! It must have been in my subconscious, because your body is craving sugar. Even when I came out, it was still there in my mind. It was a funny thing.”

Martin spent 20 days in camp, becoming great friends with his fellow campmates who praised him as a father figure. Following his exit he told show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly : “I have dreamt about this moment.”

Martin then confirmed his favorite thing about the jungle experience. He said: “The other people, without a doubt.

“Sitting around and talking. I’m not one for making new friends, it’s the first time I’ve done it in years and I’ve loved it. I feel like, coming out now, I’ve done it, done everything I wanted to do, I’ve experienced it and I’ve got some good anecdotes.”
