The look on Ryan Day’s face said it all.

It captured the shocked feeling spreading around Lucas Oil Stadium with less than three minutes remaining in the Big Ten championship game on Saturday in Indianapolis, as Ohio State kicker Jayden Fielding missed a 27-yard attempt that would’ve tied the game at 13.

Instead, a 15-play, 81-yard drive ended with a kick that sailed wide to the left, and Indiana escaped with a 13-10 victory in the conference title game that all but officially ensured it’ll be the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.
