Satya Nadella shared information about this investment in a post on the social media platform X. He also shared a picture of himself with PM Modi. Nadella wrote, “Thank you, PM Narendra Modi ji, for the inspiring conversation on AI opportunities in India. Microsoft is investing $17.5 billion to accelerate the country’s ambitions.”
The statement further added, “Microsoft’s investment in India is focused on three pillars: scale, skills, and sovereignty, which are aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision.”
