Katie Price has not only said no to finding husand Lee Andrews’ freedom, she is also not interested in starting up an online fundraiser to raise cash for his prison release

Lee Andrews is understood to have come up with plenty of ideas to get himself out of jail, but Katie Price appears in no mood to fund his freedom.

Currently, Lee is being held in Dubai’s notorious Al Awir prison, despite claims he was due to be released last week. The star’s husband has begged her to help him get out but she won’t pay the £140,000 it is said to be costing to secure his escape and has good reason.

Katie tied the knot with the Dubai-based businessman in January just a fortnight after she met him. The pair have rarely been out of the spotlight since, with Lee being accused several times over of being a conman, but things really took a turn when he failed to board a flight to the UK for what would have been their first joint interview as a couple on Good Morning Britain.

After a wild two weeks of speculation of his whereabouts, Katie revealed she had spoken to her hubby who was behind bars the whole time. Now it’s going to cost mega money to get him out – and while she will not be using any of her own money to free her man, he’s pleaded with her to start a GoFundMe.

Despite the on-going allegations, some fans have been left wondering why she won’t stump up the dash to get him out. It seems the star wants him to stand on his own two feet, and she has no plans to bail him out – and won’t even consider starting up an online fundraiser.

Katie insisted she wouldn’t be paying anything to get him out of prison and said. “The only way Lee will get out of prison is he has to sort himself it out himself. If not, he’ll be in prison.

“I’m not here to pay anything for anyone. There’s nothing I can do. I’ve got my own life, even though he’s part of my life,” she said in a chat with The Sun.

For the first time, Katie also said she needed answers from Lee. “I need answers, and if I don’t like the answers, I’ll be gone. I’m 48. I don’t need to waste my time. We get along really well and he’s so intelligent … As much as I want to listen to the women [his exes] and I’m really open minded about it, I know what a good woman I am.”

Katie insisted she is “protected” and “taking notes” – warning fans not to treat her as a “mug”. She explained: “There is no way he would mess with me, and in a way I feel protected because I have the nation looking out for me.”

While the conditions inside Al Awir are notoriously grim, Lee has claimed to his wife that his life behind bars is far from that. Instead, he claims to have befriended Daniel Kinahan, who was arrested in Dubai following a months-long bilateral collaboration between Irish and United Arab Emirates officials to apprehend one of the world’s most wanted alleged criminals.

Lee initially claimed he’d been arrested and detained following allegations of espionage. It was later reported to be a private civil matter.

For the first time, Katie also said she needed Lee to answer her questions – saying she’ll walk if he doesn’t. “I need answers, and if I don’t like the answers, I’ll be gone,” she told the same newspaper.

She added: “I’m 48. I don’t need to waste my time. We get along really well and he’s so intelligent … As much as I want to listen to the women [his exes] and I’m really open-minded about it, I know what a good woman I am.”
