Salman Khan Breaks Down At His Close Friend, Kumod Raney’s Sudden Death At The Age Of 60

Salman Khan felt another blow in his life as he attended the last rites of his close friend, Kumud Raney. She was just 60 years old and looked absolutely fit and fine, her passing left a big shock to the Khan family as Kumud shared a close bond with Seema Sajdeh, Bhavna Pandey, Maheep Kapoor and more. However, looking at her Instagram profile, she didn’t seem to be part of the world of glam and glitz.

Salman Khan breaks down, leaving Kumud Raney’s residence

It is an emotional time for Salman, who attended Kumud Raney’s 60th birthday bash a few months ago. A video of Salman was shared by a photographer’s IG page. The actor was dressed up in a grey-hued t-shirt with a pair of jeans. He looked visibly emotional and almost cried out after giving his last respect. Not only Salman, but his mother and Helen also arrived at Kumud’s residence to pay their last respects.

Sohail Khan was also present there as he helped his mother take the car. Niravaan Khan and Arhaan Khan also attended the funeral with their family. Chunky Pandey and his wife, Bhavna Pandey, also paid their last respects at Kumud’s funeral. 

A post on Instagram revealed that Kumod Raney passed away on June 9, 2026. They called Kumud a kind, warm, unwavering-spirited woman who touched everyone who had the chance of knowing her. The memories she left and the relationships built over the years. The post can be read as:

“With profound sadness, we mourn the loss of Kumud Raney. For many years, Kumud was more than a valued client—she was a cherished part of our journey. Her kindness, warmth, grace, and unwavering spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The memories we shared and the relationships built over the years will forever remain close to our hearts. Her presence brought light, positivity, and inspiration, leaving a lasting impact on all of us. Today, we remember her with gratitude, respect, and love. Rest in peace, Kumud. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 9th June 2026.”

Kumod Raney celebrated her 60th birthday in February 2026 and it was attended by Salman Khan

Kumod Raney turned 60 in February 2026, and who knew that it would be the last celerbation of her life. Kumud had hosted a huge party for her friends and family. She was dressed in a crisp black-hued coat with white top underneath. In a clip, she was seen hugging Salman Khan right after cutting a huge cake. Arpita Khan and her daughter, Ayat was also seen in the clip.

Bhavna Pandey also wished Kumud on her birthday and shared a couple of happy photos with her girlies. She penned a sweet note and wished the best for her, and hoped that the year bring good health and love. She wrote

“Happy 60 th my beautiful friend @kumodraney !!! Wishing you only the best !!! To a year full of health happiness and love !!! To many more amazing times.”
