One might ask, what is the big deal about a man turning 60? Maybe nothing. But in this 60-year-old Shah Rukh, we still see the young army recruit, full of raw energy, we see the hopeless romantic Sunil, the Rahul that stands up to his family for love, the father who would give his life for his son, and the Baadshah who ruled the silver screen and hearts.
The Shah Rukh Khan We Know

Kajol: Shah Rukh has always been more than a co-star—he’s a friend and a man who inspires humility and hard work simply by doing it himself. From the first moment we stepped on screen together, his generosity and brilliance lifted every scene. The way he connects with the audience, the way he respects his craft, the way he makes everyone around him feel valued—those qualities make him truly beloved, not just by me, but by the entire industry. Happy 60th, SRK.

Manish Malhotra: Shah Rukh has always been warm and grounded. He hasn’t changed with time, and I think that’s what truly makes him who he is. Stardom has never taken away his sincerity or how real he is with people. He’s the superstar who connects with everyone. He’s disciplined and genuinely passionate about what he does. I’ve known him for over three decades, and I’ve never seen him take anything for granted. That charm, consistency, and authenticity make him the king of people’s hearts. There are so many memories with him, and each memory and moment with him is special. He does what he says, and he’s always there with warmth and affection. Whether it’s supporting a cause or being part of someone’s celebrations, he always shows up. He brings a sense of joy and genuineness with him every single time. His conversations are mesmerising- intelligent, worldly, and visionary. Beyond being a phenomenal actor, he’s a phenomenal friend and a phenomenal human being.
Ananya Panday: He’s just pure magic, on screen and off it! The way he makes everyone around him feel seen, special and loved is something I really admire. There is no one like him! Grateful to have shared even a tiny part of his world. Wishing him a very happy birthday!

Shanaya Kapoor: A special memory I share with Shah Rukh sir is from when I was growing up. Whenever we travelled to London — Suhana, Ananya, and I — he would take us shopping. He was like Santa Claus for us. He once bought me a parrot green Juicy Couture outfit, teasing my mom that it was too loud, and even got me my first heart-shaped makeup kit. Once, I really wanted a Bratz doll with roller skates and yellow hair, but I was leaving the next day and felt left out. He asked which one I wanted and promised he’d get it. When I came home, the exact doll was waiting in my room. I was on top of the world. That’s who he is — the kindest, most thoughtful person, and that memory is forever etched in my heart.

Zoya Akhtar: Shah Rukh’s magnetism isn’t contained on the screen; it spills into his life. It’s in his warmth, his humour, his generosity and in the way he makes people feel seen. Very few redefine what it means to be a star, and even fewer stay deeply human while doing so.
A Director’s Delight

Kal Ho Naa Ho director Nikkhil Advani: SRK has this wonderful way of greeting you. He leans forward and envelopes you in a warm embrace that just makes you feel incredibly special. The thing is that the gesture is not just confined to the greeting; that’s his life philosophy, actually, a simple way of letting you know “I’ve got your back!
Memories from the Set

Farida Jalal: “Wishing Shah Rukh a very, very happy birthday. He is a perfect gentleman. We have some great memories from the sets of Dilwale, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He was a prankster on set back then, hope he hasn’t changed one bit. Lots of joy and duas for him from my heart.”
Shilpa Shetty: He was my first acting coach, and I say that because he came from a theatre background. When I worked with him in Baazigar, I had absolutely no experience either in front of the camera or even on stage, before an audience. The very first thing we shot was the song Ae Mere Humsafar. I remember struggling to get my steps right. I kept turning my back to the camera, not understanding angles or technique at all. After working with me patiently for three days, he sat me down and explained how the camera essentially becomes your audience, that you need to face it in a way that lets the audience truly see and feel your expression. That was my first real tryst with Shah Rukh. And he isn’t called Shah just for the sake of it; he truly is a king, a king at heart as well. Even today, whenever we meet, he’s warm, genuine, and always so full of heart. I’ve always seen him as more than just an actor; he’s incredibly sharp, street-smart, refined, and deeply kind. For someone who came to Mumbai from Delhi with nothing, what he’s achieved is extraordinary, and it comes not just from talent, but from intelligence, resilience, and heart. Happy 60th, Shah Rukh. Wishing you all the love, success, and even greater heights ahead. Always upwards and onwards.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge actress Pooja Ruparel: I’ve been lucky enough to work with SRK thrice as a child, as a teenager and as an adult. No matter the stage in his or my career, he has always been the most grounded and enthusiastic co-star. He is the most supportive, warm, involved and intelligent co-star. He helps to elevate any scene with his input and puts all at ease with his charm.

Shriya Pilgaonkar: SRK remains a seeker even after all his success, and that’s what makes him special. He carries his stardom with gentleness and unwavering grit. I truly cherish my experience of working with him in Fan.
Kal Ho Naa Ho actress Delnaaz Irani: I am blessed that I did not do one but three films with SRK. It is an honour to work with him. He is such a warm and loving person and a brilliant actor. All that I remember is that the first time I met him, the way he was so warm and loving. He is such a caring actor. He cares for everybody on set. He’s got this positive and vibrant aura about him. He is all heart. Simply, love him. You keep observing him while he is performing, he is an acting school. You just need to quietly look and observe.

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna actress Ahsaas Channa: Working with Shah Rukh Khan was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. He was gentle, caring, and incredibly hardworking. I remember he wasn’t just kind to me because I was a child — he was equally warm and respectful to my mother and to everyone on set. He truly is the most charming man in the world, and no one can ever replace him. We’re so lucky that Bollywood and India have a human being and a star like him.

Karishma Tanna: I had the privilege of working with Shah Rukh Khan in a TVC, and it remains one of my most special memories. His humility, grace, and effortless charm are as legendary as his craft. Beyond being the superstar we all admire, he’s a true gentleman — kind, curious, and deeply respectful to everyone on set. That’s the magic of SRK — he makes you feel seen, inspired, and proud to be part of the same industry.
SRK School of Chivalry
The King who taught an entire generation how to love…
Pavail Gulatie: In the world of these 90s actors, when everybody was being a man and an action hero, SRK sir taught us, at least me, how to be a man by being kind and gentle. My friends and I say that we graduated from the SRK school of chivalry. The way he used to work off camera, the way he was kind to people, the way he greets a lady, invites them on stage…I learnt a lot about being kind and empathetic. SRK taught me how to be a man.

Pooja Hegde: Your films, your iconic pose, the magic you bring to the screens, but most importantly, how you always make each and every person in the room feel like they are the most important person in the world. Your ability to make everyone feel special is what amuses and amazes me the most. To have you as an example of an outsider who came in and made it so big in the industry is always inspiring. Your wit, your knowledge, charm, hard work and your story. All of it tells me to keep moving with hope and love in my heart. On your birthday today, I wish you love, light, and good health always! Thank you for inspiring.

A Masterclass Named Shah Rukh Khan
Ali Fazal: I had the good fortune of getting to know SRK at a very early stage in my life. I almost feel bad that I was a bit too naive at that time. But, I give him credit for not hand-holding us and, at the same time, being absolutely generous enough to shower so much love, with whatever we had going on. I owe him a lot of things. I wish I could list them all here. There are enough reasons to love SRK because of all the beautiful performances and the beautiful films he’s given us over the years. And also in his personal life and his personality, I think that’s shaped up, helped shape up generations of this country, you know. So, that goes without saying, I think. But my most, most cherished moment was a very simple, candid moment, sitting somewhere chatting with him. And he had explained something about awareness of a scene with the camera present right there. I weirdly always remember it when I enter a set. He gave me a lot of confidence. I’m sure he’s had like a zillion conversations with a lot of people over the years. So, he will not remember. But it’s just to say that there are that many people who have taken that inspiration from him. Sometimes being close to him or being far away also. I have, in fact, not worked with him after that. But at that distance, I feel when the time is right, I would just thank him for all the things that have come my way over the years. And that’s it. That’s SRK for me.

Mihir Ahuja: SRK is the epitome and a master class of ‘how to live life and how to be a good human being’. A man with knowledge, wit, love and warmth. His attributes and positive attitude makes him a true leader and a king in every arena. My first meeting with Shah sir was in his palace- ‘Mannat’ YES. Getting goosebumps as I type this. He introduced himself as ‘Hi..I am Shah Rukh’ and just that gesture says so much about him. Him appreciating my work post ‘The Archies’ premiere was everything. I was teary-eyed when he called me ‘Beta’ and that day will forever be my best day on earth. In short..’I LOVE SRK. Wo Duniya hai meri.”
Inspiring On and Off Screen
Vivek Oberoi: Many people have power but very few use it to empower. And that’s why he is King Khan- the man who has a heart of gold so big, it can contain the entire world. I’m one of the lucky ones to be able to call Shah bhai a friend, and for me, he will always be someone who inspires me to do better and stay humble, no matter where life takes me.

Pragya Jaiswal: Happy Birthday to my biggest crush and forever inspiration, Shah Rukh Khan, sir. Growing up, you’ve been my guiding light — both as an artist and as a person. Feeling so grateful to share the same industry as you and hoping to contribute to cinema even a fraction of how you have over the last 60 years. Wishing you endless health, happiness, and magic always.

Pragya Kapoor: Shah Rukh’s unwavering support for Ek Saath during the COVID period is something I’ll always be deeply grateful for. He truly went above and beyond when it mattered most. But what defines him even more is his rare ability to make everyone around him feel seen, valued, and special. No matter how busy or significant the moment, he has this incredible warmth that makes you feel like the most important person in the room. That’s the kind of kindness that truly sets him apart.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood actor Neville Bharuccha: There are two types of people in the world. One that says “OMG! I wish I could meet SRK” and the other that says “OMG! I can’t believe I met SRK”. I am fortunate enough to be a part of the latter. Thank you for always raising the bar for us as actors and for the entire world as human beings.
Arjun Bijlani: SRK is more than an actor; he’s an inspiration whose every role shows us what passion looks like. The way he communicates, the way he carries himself, I am sure there’s a bit of him in everybody’s heart. His talent, his humility and his grounded nature make him someone I deeply admire. On screen, he’s mesmerising; off‐screen, he’s a role model for all of us.

Medha Shankr: Your films, the honesty in your eyes, and the love you shower everyone with, have always made me wonder how you do it all. There is so much that I deeply love about you, and there are so many ways in which you’ve inspired me over the years. Your interviews, your words, and the way you look at everything always have an impact on me and millions of others. It tells us to keep moving forward with only love in our hearts. Thank you for being a source of love and inspiration for me, and I wish you incredible health, love and light always!
Lauren Gottlieb: Shah Rukh Khan is the kind of superstar you dream of! Larger than life, yet so beautifully human! With all the fame and power in the world, he still makes every single person he meets feel like they’re the most important one in the room. Now that’s real magic.
Nikhil Namitt, producer (Bharat & Farrey): Shah Rukh Khan has been the ultimate embodiment of passion, perseverance, and grace — a true inspiration for anyone in cinema. His journey continues to remind me why I fell in love with films. Hoping to create magic with him someday!mHappy Birthday to the man who redefined stardom, romance, and resilience — Forever Young, Forever King.
Sophie Choudry: “The first time I met SRK was as a college student and VJ on Zee TV UK — he was my first Bollywood interview and couldn’t have been sweeter or funnier. A few years later, when I moved to India, my first big wedding performance was with him. I’ll never forget Kylie Minogue was also performing. We were sneakily watching from the side while they set up. I said “she looks hot”… he said “tujh se kam”. I still get a huge smile on my face when I remember that! He’s the most generous artist — warm, supportive, respectful and so much fun. He taught me to always give your 200% and connect with the audience. To this day, his hug radiates pure love. I truly adore him and wish him endless health, happiness, and success.”

Akshay Oberoi: I recently had the good fortune of meeting him. The way he met me with so much grace and love…It was like every story I heard about him. He keeps receiving love from the world and keeps giving that love back. This equilibrium he has maintained for so many decades. It means that it is actually genuinely him, not put on. That’s why he is who he is, and we love him. He is at the peak of all peaks, and no one deserves it more than him. I witnessed how hard-working he is- that’s part of his legend. A man who fights so hard for your love deserves it the way we give it. I wish him a long life, and may he keep giving us wonderful entertainment and receive and give love.
Poonam Pandey: I find his brain extremely sexy. There are honestly twenty thousand reasons in my head right now for why I’ve fallen so madly in love with Shah Rukh Khan. Every single time I see him on screen, it feels like I’m looking at God. That man isn’t just an actor he’s a feeling, an energy that stays with you long after he’s gone from the frame. It’s his mind that I’m the most in love with the way he speaks, the way he thinks, the kind of respect he holds for women, his humility, his charm, and that incredible journey from where he started to where he is today. he is magic. Pure, rare magic.
The King Who Raised Us All
Nitanshi Goel: I grew up watching Shah Rukh sir weave magic on screen, and when he held my hand and walked me to the stage, it truly felt like I had stepped into one of his fairytales. His humility and grace define what it truly means to be a gentleman. Wishing him the happiest birthday.
King actor Abhay Verma: Being the king himself, he makes everyone in the theatre feel even they’re king by giving a hope that they can win too, and that’s my favourite reason to love Shah sir.
Pashmina Roshan: For every actor who has ever dreamt big, Shah Rukh Khan sir stands as a shining example of what’s possible. His charisma, intelligence, and humility make him not just an icon, but an eternal inspiration, someone we’ll always look up to.
Sanjana Sanghi: I’m sure I’m the n-th person to be saying this, but if one in a million had a true personification – it would be Shahrukh Khan. In the few interactions I’ve had the joy of having with Shah Sir, I’ve left feeling like the best person in the world each time, smiling ear to ear. And I know you’ve heard that before. Sitting with a tub of ice cream and re-watching his films take me right back to my childhood, and are my ultimate form of catharsis. Happy Birthday legend! Thank you for existing!”

Kriti Kharbanda: Happy birthday to the man who taught us how to dream fearlessly, and showed us that when passion meets hard work, magic happens. I wore the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai friendship band for years — a tiny symbol of the love and admiration I carried. And one day, life rewarded that love with the privilege of shaking hands with the man himself. They say, “Never meet your heroes.”
But I did. And my heart has been grateful ever since.
Happy Birthday, King Khan.”
Richa Chadha: Unlike several of my accomplished colleagues, I do not have anecdotes about SRK. But we Dilliwalas claim him to the extent that his accomplishments seem personal. I often have dreams about him… which are essentially us sharing a cup of tea. These are early morning dreams, so I hope they come true. I think we all love SRK because there is a certain decency, character, confidence apart from the love that he embodies that the audience can perceive, without words. He gives out the energy of love, and so that is what he receives.
