Stacey Solomon’s gripe came to light while she and Joe played a game of the relationship quiz Mr and Mrs, in which the Sort Your Life Out star said it’s “so upsetting”
Stacey Solomon has complained that her husband, Joe Swash, makes her look “cold as ice” while she admitted “it’s so upsetting”. Her annoyance came to light while she and Joe played a game of the relationship quiz, Mr and Mrs.
In a clip shared on the BBC’s YouTube channel, the couple each held a paddle showing their respective photos on either side, using it to answer questions about themselves by choosing either Stacey or Joe.
In one segment, they were asked who was more likely to cry during a film; both answered Joe. Stacey said: “I don’t cry and I really struggle to cry. And sometimes, Joe really shows me up with his level of emotion.”
Joe said: “You’re quite analytical, so she can see things on…for what they are. Well, I wear my heart on my sleeve a little bit.”
Stacey jumped in: “It’s so upsetting because you know why? When you’ve got a crying husband, everyone thinks you’re cold as ice. They think I’m the ice queen. On our wedding day, he was sobbing. And I was trying to match his level of emotion, and I couldn’t cry.”
Joe hit back, jokingly saying that he was sobbing because he was “trying to get out of there”. But Stacey responded by mimicking a crying Joe, saying that he was “so glad” he met her.
She added: “And I had to be like, ‘I’m really happy we’re going to be together’, because I just could not match that level of emotion. It was really difficult. He does it when I have babies as well. He really shows me up in front of everyone.”
Joe defended himself, saying there were times when crying was “appropriate”, particularly when a baby is born. Stacey again hit back, suggesting that it was she who “pushed it out”, as they descended into light-hearted bickering.
It comes after Stacey, who married former EastEnders star Joe in 2022, admitted that everyone is “broken” on the set of her BBC show, Sort Your Life Out.
Her comments came as she spoke with co-star Dilly Carter about the seven-day deadline she and the gang work to on the show.
In the series, Stacey and the team help families transform their homes with a “life-changing declutter“.
Stacey was asked on the Sort Your Life Out: Unpacked podcast what fans ask her about the show. Mimicking the voice of somebody asking the question, Stacey said: “‘Do you really do it all in seven days?'”
She continued: “And we do coz legally, we sort your life out in seven days, so we have to do it in seven days. At the end of that week, I always think…I look around, and I’m like, ‘everyone is broken’.”
