Following Dharmendra’s discharge, Sunny Deol’s team issued a statement and said that Dharam Ji’s “recovery will now happen at home.” As the veteran actor’s recovery makes news, filmmaker Farah Khan took a stroll down memory lane, where she revealed how excited Salman Khan was to shake a leg with Dharmendra in the Deewangi Deewangi song from Om Shanti Om.
Salman Khan Grooves on Deewangi Deewangi with Dharmendra
Salman Khan, a superstar with a massive fan following across India and beyond, is adored not just for his charm, persona, and generosity but also for his iconic dance moves. Interestingly, the actor himself is a big admirer of Dharmendra’s dancing style. In fact, during the song “Deewangi Deewangi” from Om Shanti Om, Salman eagerly waited to see the veteran star perform and couldn’t resist joining him on the dance floor.
Farah recalled that Salman was very excited to see the superstar, as he himself has been his big fan. And when Salman saw Dharmendra dancing to the Deewangi Deewangi song, he couldn’t control himself and jumped into the frame. Farah Khan said, “There is a shot where Dharam Ji is dancing, and Salman and others jump in. That wasn’t planned. They were standing behind the camera because they waited for four hours in Shah Rukh’s van to watch Dharam Ji’s shot. And while Dharam Ji was dancing, they just jumped into the shot.”

Salman Khan’s attachment to Dharmendra was also seen in recent times when Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were among the top two actors who paid a visit to the veteran star. Salman shares a warm bond with the Deol family. The superstar and the veteran actor have worked together in the popular film Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Salman Khan also made special appearances in Deol’s Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se and Tell Me O Khuda.
