The moment every Shah Rukh Khan fan had been waiting for is finally here. Siddharth Anand has unveiled the first look of SRK’s upcoming film King, along with officially announcing the title. Promising a “new Shah Rukh Khan experience”, King presents the superstar in a striking silver-fox avatar and one of his boldest yet.

The director dropped the teaser on the occasion of the superstar’s 60th birthday today. It opened with a high-octane, stylised action sequence that sees SRK’s character take down enemies. It is followed by a deep and chilling voiceover, “Kitne khoon kiye, yaad nahi…Acche log the ya bure, kabhi pucha nahi. Baas unki aankhon mein ehsaas dekha, yeh unki akhri saans hai. And main uski wajah.” (How many people I’ve killed, I don’t remember. Whether they were good or bad, I never thought about it. I just saw it in their eyes… that this was their last breath. And I was the reason.)

SRK then turns towards the camera, with a king card held between his teeth. The clip teases one of his boldest, darkest and most enigmatic avatars yet. The title card of the clip read, “A new Shah Rukh Khan experience”

Sharing the video, the filmmaker wrote, “Sau deshon mein badnaam, Duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam- #KING
