The first three episodes of the series arrived on the day of the premiere, followed by a weekly release of the remaining episodes.
The final episode of Season 1 is streaming now, and the ending has already created excitement for the second season. Keep reading to know what happens in the last episode!
‘Margaret Atwood’ appears in the final episode of The Testaments Season 1

‘Aunt Lydia’ wants to save ‘Becka’, and she immediately goes towards the women’s holding facility. Notably, she is accompanied by Margaret Atwood, the author of The Handmaid’s Tale, towards ‘Becka’s’ cell. While ‘Aunt Lydia’ requests that ‘Becka’ should be freed, ‘Commander Judd’ lets her know that ‘Becka’ is being transported to the red center, where she will be a handmaid. ‘Aunt Lydia’ tries to compromise by telling ‘Judd’ that ‘Becka’s’ father also did not follow God’s Law. However, ‘Judd’ is not ready to listen. On the other hand, ‘Agnes’ reveals to everyone about ‘Becka’s’ fate at the school to ‘Daisy’, ‘Shu,’ and ‘Huldah.’
‘Agnes’ and everyone else execute their plans to save ‘Becka’

‘Agnes’ initially tells ‘Aunt Vidala’ that ‘Becka’ was taken by The Eyes. ‘Vidala’ shows helplessness at this point, following which ‘Agnes’ tells her that it is a duty for the Aunts to save the girls. ‘Vidala’ changes her decision and joins ‘Lydia’. ‘Daisy’ also plans something on her side, requesting ‘Garth’ to save ‘Becka’. However, ‘Garth’ refuses to do it. Meanwhile, a temporary leave is ordered for ‘Becka’, and she can now visit her mother. But the investigation is not over, and the charges remain on ‘Becka’.
‘Garth’ and ‘Becka’ tie the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony

‘Lydia’ meets ‘Vidala’, ‘Becka’, and ‘Mrs. Grove’, telling them that the only thing that is going to be believed right now is that ‘Becka’ discovered ‘Mrs. Grove’ near the bathtub after murdering ‘Dr. Grove’. ‘Becka’ will also tell that she took the blame to save her mother, and ‘Mrs. Grove’ will admit that she killed her husband. But this is going to have certain complications, including the death of ‘Becka’s’ mother.

‘Agnes’ then finds that ‘Becka’ can never tie the knot with someone due to a scandal. ‘Agnes’ eventually speaks to ‘Garth’, asking him to marry ‘Becka’. ‘Garth’ agrees to that, and he eventually becomes a Commander, followed by a private ceremony, where he and ‘Becka’ exchange vows. On the other hand, ‘Becka’s’ mother is hanged to death after being sentenced. ‘Garth’ and ‘Becka’ return home, where the former locks his wife in a room.
‘Commander Weston’ had his reasons to cancel his engagement with ‘Agnes’

‘Agnes’ is the first person to know that ‘Becka’ has been taken into custody. She initially maintains silence for some time, and ‘Aunt Vidala’ later tells everyone that ‘Becka’ won’t return to the school. The school even gets to know about the death of ‘Dr. Grove’. ‘Agnes’ goes to meet ‘Garth’, asking why he did not help her friend. ‘Garth’ asks her to display a little bit of grace, following which ‘Agnes’ breaks down.
‘Commander Weston’ later meets ‘Agnes’ and decides to help ‘Becka’. ‘Agnes’ tells Weston that she was one of ‘Dr. Grove’s’ victims, which is why ‘Becka’ killed him. Although ‘Weston’ decides to help ‘Becka’, ‘Agnes’ is informed by ‘Commander MacKenzie’ that ‘Weston’ has cancelled their engagement. This is because ‘Agnes’ is linked to the incident involving ‘Dr. Grove’.
‘Daisy’ helps ‘Agnes’ to know her real identity

While ‘Becka’ and Darth get married, ‘Agnes’ tells ‘Daisy’ that things should have been a little different. ‘Daisy’ then compares ‘Agnes’ to her mother, saying that she and her mother are the same. ‘Daisy’ is well aware of the fact that ‘Agnes’ was born to the Handmaid, ‘June Osborne’. ‘Daisy’ reveals the real identity of ‘Agnes’, telling her that she is ‘Hannah’. Although ‘Agnes’ is not ready to trust her, she discovers a drawing made by her at home, which has a signature in the name of ‘Hannah’.

During a conversation with ‘Lydia’, ‘Agnes’ speaks up about her mother. But this time, ‘Agnes’ says that her mother never gave up on anything, and ‘Lydia’ tells ‘Agnes’ that the same thing should be done for her marriage. ‘Daisy’ is then spotted informing ‘June’ through a letter that ‘Becka’ is safe. ‘Daisy’ is also seemingly planning to create a group and target ‘Gildead,’ as she says that teenage girls are the most powerful.
