وأكد رؤساء منظمة الصحة العالمية واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر ومنظمة أطباء بلا حدود، في دعوة مشتركة، أن المرافق الصحية لا تزال تتعرض للأضرار أو التدمير، فيما يقع العاملون في المجال الطبي والمرضى ضحايا لهجمات تسفر عن وفيات وإصابات.
جاء ذلك بعد مرور 10 سنوات على اعتماد مجلس الأمن القرار رقم 2286 بشأن حماية الرعاية الصحية في النزاعات المسلحة.
