وقال رئيس النقل والخدمات اللوجستية العالمية في المنظمة، جان سيدريك ميوس، إن زيادة نفقات الشحن، وتأخر وصول الإمدادات يؤثران على توفير اللقاحات والأغذية العلاجية والمواد الأساسية للأطفال، مبينًا أن بعض الشحنات قد تتأخر لفترات تصل إلى ستة أشهر.
وأوضحت “اليونيسيف” أنها تواصل اعتماد مسارات بديلة وتعزيز الإنتاج المحلي للحد من تأثير الأزمة وضمان استمرار وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى الأطفال الأكثر احتياجًا.
