وأكد أن فرق الاستجابة للطوارئ باشرت التعامل مع الحادث بسرعة وكفاءة عالية، وتمت السيطرة على الوضع.
وأسفر هذا الحادث عن وفاة شخص من الجنسية المصرية خلال إخلاء الموقع، كما أصيب أربعة أشخاص بإصابات بسيطة، اثنان من الجنسية الباكستانية واثنان من الجنسية المصرية، ولحقت أضرار جسيمة بالمنشآت، ولا تزال أعمال التقييم جارية.
