“We are verifying the source of the email. So far, nothing suspicious has been found. As a precautionary measure, a thorough search operation is underway on the school premises, which has been vacated,” a senior police officer said regarding the threat to APS Dhaula Kuan, as per the reports.

The school administration informed authorities in the morning after receiving an email warning that an bomb had been planted on campus. Later, cyber cell has been called to track the source of the email and get the identity of the person who sent it, according to officials.

“We are also verifying whether similar threats were sent to other institutions,” a police officer added.

There has been a recent surge in bomb threat emails targeting schools in Delhi and Noida, Uttar Pradesh, as well as courts nationwide. While all have turned out to be hoax, they cause panic among students and parents.

Earlier on Thursday, three other schools in Delhi, including CRPF Public School in Rohini, St. Thomas School in Dwarka, and DAV Centenary Public School in Paschim Enclave also received bomb threat emails in the morning, leading to immediate evacuations and searches by multiple agencies. Police have since declared those threats a hoax.

Parents and the public have been urged to stay calm as security checks and sanitisation procedures continue.

The recent threat are in line with the rising trend in Delhi-NCR. Last year, over 500 such cases were reported, and at least four bomb threat emails that have targeted schools in the region in the last two weeks alone. Police also cautioned school authorities to stay vigilant and make sure all precautionary actions are strictly adhered.
