The 2026 Masters is set to begin at Augusta National in a matter of days. With the final PGA Tour event before the Masters now complete, we have a full picture of the full Masters field for this year’s event for the first time.
Here’s what you need to know.
Masters field for 2026: The basics
There are many qualifying criteria to earn a spot in the Masters, with this year’s event adding several spots for winners of various national Opens. (You can see a full list of Masters exemption categories at the bottom of this article.) In all, 91 pros and top amateurs will compete in this year’s Masters.
The final spot was up for grabs over the weekend at the Valero Texas Open. Anyone not qualified for the Masters who won last week would earn Masters tee times. But J.J. Spaun came away with the victory in the end. Spaun was already exempt into the Masters based on several criteria, including his U.S. Open win last year.
That means the final spots were awarded the week before, when Gary Woodland qualified by winning the Texas Children’s Houston Open, and four others earned Masters spots via the Official World Golf Ranking.
Unfortunately, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will not be in this year’s Masters field, nor will either player be present at Augusta National during tournament week.
