Featured tee time for Round 2
Bryson DeChambeau is hoping that this week ends with his third major title and first Masters victory. The two-time U.S. Open champ nearly got the deal done last year, battling Rory McIlroy in Sunday’s final pairing before ceding the green jacket to him.
Heading into this year’s Masters, DeChambeau is hot. He’s won the last two LIV Golf tournaments, and he betrayed few nerves at Wednesday’s Masters Par 3 Contest.
In Round 1, DeChambeau got started with a textbook par at the 1st, but he didn’t fare as well at the 2nd. Bryson lost his drive on the par-5 into the left woods, eventually settling for a bogey-6 to fall to one over early. But he quickly got that shot back with a birdie a 3.
After starting the opening round early, DeChambeau will switch to the afternoon wave for Friday’s second round.
DeChambeau will tee off for Round 2 on Friday at 1:20 p.m. ET alongside Matt Fitzpatrick and Xander Schauffele.
