The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has launched the Namo Bharat Short Film Making Competition, offering a fantastic opportunity for filmmakers and content creators to showcase their talent while competing for substantial cash prizes. Participants are invited to create short films or reels that prominently feature the Namo Bharat train and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) stations, with a total prize pool of up to Rs 1.5 lakh.

Eligibility
- Open to everyone, including college students, independent filmmakers, and social media creators.
Creative Freedom
- There are no specific genre or storyline restrictions, allowing participants to express their creativity as long as the Namo Bharat train and RRTS stations are central to their work.
- Submissions can be made in either Hindi or English, with optional subtitles.
Prize Structure
The competition offers significant cash rewards for the top three entries:
- 1st Place: Rs 1,50,000
- 2nd Place: Rs 1,00,000
- 3rd Place: Rs 50,000
Winning entries will also be featured on NCRTC’s digital platforms, providing additional exposure for the creators.
Submission Guidelines
To enter the competition:
- Format: Films must be submitted in MP4 or MOV format with a minimum resolution of 1080p.
- Email Submission: Interested filmmakers should send an email to pr@ncrtc.in with the subject line “Application for Namo Bharat Short Film Making Competition.” The email should include:
- Full name
- A brief synopsis of the film (up to 100 words)
- Estimated duration of the film
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted by December 20, 2024.
Filming at RRTS stations and on Namo Bharat trains is free of charge, making this an excellent opportunity for creators to produce high-quality content without incurring typical filming costs. This initiative not only encourages artistic expression but also aims to enhance public engagement with the RRTS and promote it as a prime location for media projects.
