Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison is currently competing on hit dancing show Strictly Come Dancing where she’s partnered up with Kai Widdrington
Vicky Pattison’s husband has been left terrified as he supports his wife as she competes on Strictly Come Dancing. The former Geordie Shore star has been taking part in the popular BBC show but she has also been fighting a secret battle at the same time.
The TV personality has been under a lot of pressure recently as she has been rehearsing all day to make sure she nails her Saturday night performances. However, husband Ercan Ramadan is reportedly worried about the pressure being too much for Vicky.
Vicky tends to stick to a healthy and active lifestyle but Ercan is worried about her being “overworked”. It’s a well known fact that Strictly stars tend to rehearse at least eight hours a day before performing their routines on Saturday.

A source told The Sun: “When she’s leading a healthy lifestyle, exercising, eating well and taking care of herself, Vicky feels good – she’s confident and happy. But it’s definitely a concern if she becomes overworked, too stressed and too tired. Who knows what it could trigger?”
“Ercan is of course very worried that the gruelling Strictly ‘regime’ could tip her over the edge so he’s having to make sure she’s slowing down, she’s eating enough, she’s eating healthy food and she’s getting time to rest and also do what fills her cup – quiet time with him where they can just be together and the dogs.”
Vicky has been open about being diagnosed with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), which she first discussed publicly in 2023 following a five-year journey to get a diagnosis.
She has said before that it can cause anxiety among other symptoms. PMDD is a severe form of PMS that causes intense mood and physical symptoms in the week or two before a menstrual period which significantly impacts daily life.
Symptoms can include severe anxiety, depression, anger, irritability, and can also involve physical issues like bloating, breast tenderness, and fatigue.
Vicky previously shared an emotional post on Instagram where she spoke about struggling with anxiety. She wrote: “There are a few things that exacerbate my anxiety.
“When I’m tired, overworked and just not looking after myself properly I don’t feel as though I have the energy to fight off the intrusive dark thoughts. I also just feel like I’m more susceptible to that negative self talk when I’m low & burnt out.”
She added: “My condition [PMDD] can cause panic attacks, anxiety, insomnia and exhaustion. In some moments there can be suicidal thoughts.”
Vicky is currently competing on Strictly alongside professional dancer partner Kai Widdrington. Last night saw the pair dance a Samba where they scored 29 out of a possible 40 points.
They were over the moon as they managed to scoop their highest score of the series so far. They were even told by lead judge Shirley Ballas that she could potentially make it to the final.
