The Los Angeles Rams made minced meat out of the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 35-7 win in the final London game of the 2025-26 NFL season. With the victory, the Rams took sole possession of first place in the NFC West with a record of 5-2, but that could change based on the results of this evening’s Sunday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49ers.

The Jaguars couldn’t stop Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford or wide receiver Davante Adams. Stafford became the first player in the history of the NFL International Series to throw five touchdown passes in a single game. Meanwhile, Adams finished the day with five catches for 35 receiving yards and three TDs.

On the other side, it felt like the Jaguars spent the entire game self-destructing. They were five for 21 on third and fourth downs combined and were also flagged 13 times for 119 penalty yards. On top of that, Jacksonville allowed seven sacks.

The Jaguars’ pass protection issues from last week showed up again when quarterback Trevor Lawrence was sacked on the first offensive play of the game, which eventually led to a punt. That sack, which was recorded by linebacker Jared Verse, was his fourth in his last five games.

On the Rams’ first series, while facing a 4th and 3 in the red zone, Stafford connected with running back Kyren Williams for a nine-yard gain to get to the Jags’ seven yard line. That set up a five-yard TD catch by rookie wideout Konata Mumpfield for a 7-0 advantage. That was just the second career reception for the 2025 seventh-round pick and his first career touchdown.

It was a rough start for the Jags. They had zero net yards on their first two drives, which were both three-and-outs. They also had an offensive holding penalty and gave up a sack.

The Rams were in complete control of this game in the first quarter. On back-to-back plays, the Jags were flagged for a 26-yard defensive pass interference penalty, and tight end Colby Parkinson made a 23-yard reception to get the ball down to Jacksonville’s 30. Then, Davante Adams got involved in the action with a 15-yard catch-and-run to get back into the red zone. Three plays later, Adams caught an impressive toe-tapping two-yard TD pass to increase LA’s lead to 14-0. This was his team-leading fourth touchdown reception of the campaign.

Thankfully for Florida natives, Jacksonville was able to get a little something going on its third possession. They converted their first third-down of the day to bring this game into the second quarter. Soon, the Jaguars were tasked with a 4th and 1 on LA’s 47. They didn’t waver, though, converting that fourth-down attempt on an end-around sweep. Unfortunately, a TLaw sack derailed the drive and forced a punt. In his last two starts, Trevor Lawrence has been sacked 14 times.

Once again, a self-inflicted wound hurt the Jaguars. They had a 61-yard punt-return TD wiped off the board due to an illegal block in the back penalty.

Unsurprisngly, that nullified touchdown impacted the Jags. Trevor Lawrence threw a 22-yard pass to wide receiver Tim Patrick on a third down to get to LA’s 39 yard line. Though they made it to the 32, kicker Cam Little missed a 50-yard field goal attempt, allowing the Rams to take control of the ball with just under seven minutes left in the first half. After hitting ten of his first 12 field goal attempts this season, Cam Little is 0/2 in his last two games.

Following the missed kick, LA reached the red zone on a 17-yard defensive pass interference penalty and a 16-yard catch by Davante Adams. From there, tight end Colby Parkinson got the ball to the one yard line on a 16-yard catch and run. Two plays later, Davante Adams made a fantastic one-handed touchdown catch for a 21-0 Rams lead. The last time Adams caught two or more TD passes in a game was Week 15 of the 2024-25 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars took the field with 4:37 to go in the second quarter. On a 3rd and 10, Trevor Lawrence linked up with wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. for a 22-yard pickup. A little while later, Lawrence hit wideout Parker Washington for 11 more yards to get Jacksonville into the red zone for the first time today. With a 3rd and 7 coming out of the two-minute warning, TLaw missed a pass to wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter, which led to them going for it on fourth down. Lawrence tried to pick up the first down with his legs, but came up three yards short of the sticks for a turnover on downs.

Though LA took the field with 1:45 left in the quarter, they ran the ball twice before taking a knee to send this game to halftime.

After forcing a punt on the opening possession of the third quarter, the Jaguars had success moving the ball. Travis Hunter made back-to-back 11-yard catch-and-runs to get to midfield. Then, a defensive pass interference put Jacksonville on LA’s 43. Defensive holding then got the ball to the 38 yard line. Soon, the Jags faced a 3rd and 2. As was the case for most of the game, Jacksonville failed to convert that third down, so they went for it on fourth down. Trevor Lawrence missed a pass intended for wide receiver Dyami Brown, resulting in a turnover on downs. The Jaguars went two for six on fourth down attempts in this one.

Unlike the first half, Los Angeles struggled to get anything going in the third quarter. They were forced to punt four times and only picked up 29 yards on their first four possessions of the second half.

On Jacksonville’s next series, Trevor Lawrence hooked up with Dyami Brown for a 39-yard pass to get the football near midfield. A few downs later, Lawrence scrambled for 14 yards to advance the ball to the Rams’ 30. Down by three TDs, the Jags went for it again on fourth down. Once again, Jacksonville failed to convert, resulting in their third turnover on downs of the game. Coming into this matchup, Jacksonville had converted on six of its nine fourth-down attempts this season.

The Jaguars’ offense retook the field at their own 43 after forcing a quick three-and-out. A facemask by the Rams on the tail end of a seven-yard run put the ball on LA’s 35 yard line. But, they were later forced to punt after Trevor Lawrence was taken down for a 13-yard sack.

Following an exchange of punts, the Rams started the fourth quarter on their own 40. From there, they managed to put together a meaningful drive. Jacksonville was penalized for defensive holding on a third-down stop, which gave LA a fresh set of downs at the Jags’ 40. From there, they went for it on a 4th and inches. On that play, Matthew Stafford threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson for a 28-0 lead.

The Jaguars got onto LA’s side of the field after back-to-back completions of 21 and 25 yards. Two plays later, Trevor Lawrence hit Travis Hunter for a 34-yard touchodwn pass to cut the lead to 28-7 with 9:06 remaining in the game. That was the first career TD for Hunter at the NFL level.

LA had the perfect response to that score. After recovering an onside kick at Jacksonville’s 45, Kyren Williams scampered for a nine-yard gain on a 3rd and 7 to get to the Jags’ 33. On the next third-down attempt, Jacksonville was penalized for a facemask and a defensive pass interference, putting the Rams on the six yard line. That led to Davante Adams’ third TD catch of the game for a 35-7 advantage.

The Jags had to go for it again on fourth down at LA’s 38 yard line while facing a 28-point deficit. This time around, Trevor Lawrence completed a 16-yard pass to Travis Hunter for a fresh set of downs. Eventually, they missed on a fourth-down attempt in the red zone, which allowed the Rams to run out the clock for the victory.

The Jaguars currently find themselves in the middle of a two-game losing streak after starting the season 4-1.
