On Monday, a federal appellate court allowed Trump to deploy the National Guard in Oregon pending further litigation. The president has argued that the move is necessary to curb riots and crime in Democrat-run cities.
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield condemned the ruling, saying it lacked justification and had put the country “on a dangerous path.”
