Hoshino Resorts announced on October 22nd that it will open seven new facilities across Japan in 2026, with a particular focus on regional areas.

The first of the new facilities will be a museum utilizing the former Nara Prison, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, scheduled to open in April 2026. Hoshino Resorts also plans to open a new hotel around June of that year and is currently finalizing related preparations.
With the number of inbound tourists continuing to rise mainly in major cities, Hoshino Resorts aims to strengthen its presence in regional areas and attract more domestic travelers by expanding its network beyond metropolitan centers.
