Tesla is recalling over 63,000 Cybertrucks over parking lights that could flash too brightly and block other drivers’ views, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday.

Certain 2024-2026 Cybertruck vehicles operating software prior to 2025.38.3 are included in the recall.

These cars were manufactured between Nov. 13, 2023, and Oct. 11, 2025

In a recall report, Tesla estimated that 100% of the 63,619 impacted vehicles have the defect.

The vehicle’s software may cause the front parking lights to be too bright, distracting oncoming drivers and increasing the risk of a crash.

These lights exceed the maximum light output and fail to comply with federal safety standards, according to the automaker, which is led by billionaire founder Elon Musk.

Tesla said it has released an over-the-air software update, free of charge.
