Who is David Harbour?

David Harbour, 50, is one of Hollywood’s most popular faces. He is best known for playing the role of a police chief, Jim Hopper’ in Netflix’s hit series, Stranger Things. His impressive performance won him two Primetime Emmy nominations and global fame. Apart from the sci-fi show, David has appeared in Hellboy, Violent Night, and the sports drama, Gran Turismo. 

He has also been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as ‘Red Guardian’ in Black Widow and the upcoming Thunderbolts. Recently, he joined the DC Universe as ‘Eric Frankenstein’ in Creature Commandos. Before his marriage to Lily, David was in a relationship with Alison Sudol and Julia Stiles. David Harbour and Lily Allen’s fairytale marriage turned into a nightmare

David Harbour and Lily Allen met in 2019 on the celebrity dating app, Raya. They quickly fell in love and made their red carpet debut at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in early 2020. Later, they tied the knot in Las Vegas, in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator. David soon took up the role of a stepfather to Lily’s daughters from her previous marriage to Sam Cooper. For some time, they were considered one of Hollywood’s stable celebrity couples. 

However, things began to change after reports about trouble in their marriage surfaced in late 2024. Several tabloids alleged that they were living separately. In early 2025, David and Lily confirmed their split. According to The Mail, David allegedly had an affair with 34-year-old costume designer, Natalie Tippett, whom he met on the set of the 2021 Netflix film, We Have a Ghost. She is a single mother from New Orleans who reportedly worked in the film’s costume department. Sources claimed that the two developed a close bond during filming, which later evolved into a romantic relationship. Whereas they claimed Lily found out about it through text messages on David’s phone. Lily has allegedly described all this in her songs, Madeline and Tennis. In her words:

 Natalie has spoken about the situation and confirmed her connection to David without sharing many details. She told the outlet that she heard Lily’s new songs but feels ‘uncomfortable’ discussing them. Meanwhile, Lily maintained that “Madeline”, the mysterious woman mentioned in her album, is a pseudonym inspired by multiple experiences. However, fans believe Natalie may have been the real-life inspiration behind the lyrics. Until now, neither Lily nor David has publicly commented on the cheating rumours. Rather, the actor is gearing up for the release of the final season of Stranger Things.
