All about the Film
The well-known Supreme Court case Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs. Shah Bano Begum served as the inspiration for the courtroom drama Haq. It narrates the tale of a young lady who defends her rights, defying social expectations and igniting a national dialogue on justice, women’s rights, and faith.
Junglee Pictures posted the official teaser for Haq on YouTube a month ago. The production company described the plot, “Shazia Bano takes her husband Abbas to court after he abandons her and their children, sparking a national battle over faith, women’s rights, and justice. Inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgement of Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs. Shah Bano Begum. Haq is the story of one woman’s fight for her rights and justice.”
Born on August 27, 1993, Vartika Brij Nath Singh is an Indian model and beauty pageant champion. She won the title of Miss Universe India 2019 and competed for her nation in the 68th Miss Universe pageant. She had previously been crowned the 2015 Femina Miss India Grand International. She was recognised as one of India’s sexiest women by GQ magazine in 2017.
Before graduating from Isabella Thoburn College with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Singh finished her education at Canossa Convent School in Lucknow. Later, she attended the University of Lucknow to obtain a master’s degree in public health.

She took part in the Kingfisher Model Hunt competition in 2017 and made appearances in the March and October Kingfisher bikini calendars.
Singh has been actively committed to social activities outside of modelling. She has supported children born with cleft lip and cleft palate as a Smile Train India Goodwill Ambassador and worked with the Uttar Pradesh government to educate communities about tuberculosis.
Since there was no Miss Diva pageant that year, Vartika was crowned Miss Universe India 2019 on September 26. On December 8, 2019, she competed in the Miss Universe 2019 pageant in Atlanta, Georgia, and placed in the Top 20, breaking India’s run of successive failures at the global contest.
