Big Brother has been thrown into turmoil recently with ex-housemate Farida making a dramatic return and tensions beginning to rise.
This week witnessed another housemate being shown the door from the Big Brother house after the stars failed the shopping task and were given basic rations. Farida has become a hot topic on social media of late, with views split over her sensational comeback.
Earlier scenes saw Farida sent off to a secret room alongside previously evicted housemate Emily and pretend evictee Sam in a massive twist for the 25th anniversary. The trio were then ushered back into the house after 36 hours of “secret tasks”, and Farida didn’t hold back, reports OK!.
Just like during her stint in 2023, the star was unafraid to voice her thoughts and opinions, as she continues to cause a stir in the Big Brother house this time around. But who could forget her unforgettable moments back in 2023?
Who is Farida?
Farida graced the Big Brother house back in 2023, but was the first housemate to be sent home.
Despite her brief stay, the makeup artist managed to cause quite a stir, famously remembered for eating Olivia Young’s salmon straight off her plate. However, she notably found herself in several confrontations with housemate Kerry Riches.
Farida and Kerry’s feud explained
During their stint on Big Brother back in 2023, Farida and Kerry had such a falling out that they ended up facing eviction together.
Who could forget the legendary shopping challenge and contrasting leadership approaches as the pair were positioned as middle management figures in between.
They clashed over how to oversee duties for those at the bottom. Kerry was subsequently spotted taking a toilet break whilst in tears.
At one stage, Farida confided to Big Brother that she considered Kerry to be a “bit of a stirrer” amongst the group as she described the celebrity as “very conniving”. Kerry also spoke to Big Brother as she remarked “she (Farida) doesn’t get me.”
And who can forget when Farida mentioned Kerry’s “viral videos”, or when Farida referenced their generation as Kerry responded she felt old.
The duo clashed once more regarding who should control the shopping budget.
Prior to eviction night, the pair butted heads again as Kerry insisted she remained “still the same person” as when she entered the house, with the two refusing to sit together on eviction night.
An evicted Farida told Kerry “you’ll be next” because of her age, which didn’t go down well with the celebrity. Following her elimination, Farida commented on Late and Live that she “couldn’t understand her tantrums”.
She also confessed on the programme that the two would have “had a blow up”.
Are Farida and Kerry on speaking terms?
When it was revealed Farida would be returning to the Big Brother house, Kerry posted on TikTok with a video captioned: “Shes back baby! @FaridaKhalifa smash it girl and just be brilliantly iconic! this is just the best news.”
In the video, she enthusiastically declares: “You are just iconic, I love that you’re back. You’re brilliant.”
She continues: “Could I live with you again? No. Could you live with me again? No.”
When asked when they reconciled, Kerry responded: “The 45 mins you see on TV isn’t real life darling!”, and added in another comment: “It’s all panto and remember its TV!”.
In another remark, she dubbed Farida as “TV gold”.
However, in a separate video, Kerry criticised Farida for “targeting” housemates and revealing information about the outside world. In a comment, Kerry clarified: “I was over the moon to see her back, she’s TV gold… however there was no need to come back and be mean! She could have been her funny entertaining self, without being nasty and targeting the young ones who will be missing home by now.”
After this week’s shopping task, Kerry expressed her support for Farida on TikTok, describing her as comedy gold and adding: “Zelah was right to check in on Farida, she doesn’t drink alcohol. It must have made her feel incredibly uncomfortable and he was right to do that.”
It seems there’s no animosity between the two, with Kerry referring to her as a “boss b****”.
