Wrexham-Fulham
Cardiff, who now find themselves a division below their fellow Welsh side, made the perfect start through Yousef Salech, who tapped into an empty net after Omari Kellyman’s shot was saved.
In the second half, the Championship side were level through a familiar face to their opponents as former Bluebird Kieffer Moore rose highest to head home and bring the tie level.
But as the game approached the final 20 minutes, Will Fish found the winner by finding the net with a well-timed volley which the goalkeeper couldn’t keep out.
Wycombe-Fulham
Cauley Woodrow put Wycombe 1-0 up early on against his former club, with the striker arrowing a long-range strike past the goalkeeper to send the home crowd into delerium.
But their joy was short-lived as Josh King scored his first senior goal to level things up, finding the net with a delightful piece of improvisation.
The Premier League side were ultimately unable to find the winner in normal time though as the Chairboys held on for penalties.
Ewan Henderson missed the first spot-kick for the hosts, which looked set to be costly after every other player scored until it was Ryan Sessegnon’s turn, who saw his effort saved.
But after Chelsea loanee Donnell McNeilly missed for Wycombe, Issa Diop slammed the ball into the roof of the net to seal Fulham’s progression to the fifth round.
