Ariana Grande is saying goodbye to Glinda. Three years after she went blonde to portray the Good Witch of the North in the movie adaptation of Broadway’s Wicked, Grande has returned to her (brunette) roots.

Fans thought Grande might go back to brunette after the Wicked: For Good press run, but judging from her latest Instagram selfie, she got a head start. “It’s good to see me, isn’t it?” Grande captioned the post, showing off a headful of chocolate brown hair with a warm, reddish undertone—not a deep, jet espresso or true auburn red, but a gorgeous fusion that lands right in the middle of the brunette spectrum.

The new shade is the work of Francesco De Chiara, a London-based colorist who has been working with Grande for awhile, including her golden blonde color on the Eternal Sunshine album cover. Another noticeable difference: instead of wearing her hair pulled tightly back, as she’s been wont to do lately, hairstylist Alyx Liu styled Grande’s brunette hair down, parted to one side and curled from the mid-lengths to the ends. Makeup artist Michael Anthony applied doe-eyed eyeliner and tinted Grande’s brows to match her new hair color.
