Police are investigating the death of a baby in Perth’s southern suburbs.
The eight-month-old was discovered dead at the house on Winpara Way in Baldivis just after 10am on Thursday.
Police said they were called to the house along with St John Ambulance, but the baby had already died.
“Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death are being undertaken. The death is being treated as suspicious,” a WA police spokesperson said.

A woman in her twenties, believed to be the baby’s mother, was taken to Rockingham Hospital for treatment from the scene. She has since been transferred to Fiona Stanley Hospital in a stable condition.
The street was cordoned off by detectives, who spent the day investigating the home.
Neighbours told 9 News Perth they heard screaming moments before paramedics arrived.
Officers said a woman was helping police with inquiries and that there was no ongoing threat to the public.
No charges have been laid.
Police have asked anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.
