Andretti Global has announced that Kyle Kirkwood will remain part of its NTT IndyCar Series lineup beyond 2025, after signing a multi-year contract extension with the team.

Kirkwood joined Andretti in 2023 and has since established himself as one of IndyCar’s rising stars. Over three seasons, he has collected five wins, three pole positions and six podiums, leading more than 300 laps. His 2025 campaign marked a significant breakthrough, highlighted by a dominant sweep at Long Beach and back-to-back victories in Detroit and at World Wide Technology Raceway, which also represented his first oval triumph.

The Florida native’s results last season cemented his reputation as a consistent front-runner and a potential title contender for Andretti, as he appeared capable of mounting a challenge to the dominant Alex Palou early in 2025. Kirkwood sat second in the standings past the halfway point before finishing fourth—close behind third-place finisher Scott Dixon—with a total of three wins, five top-five finishes and ten top-tens.

A product of Andretti’s junior ladder, Kirkwood remains the only driver in history to win championships in all three development categories — USF2000, USF Pro 2000 and INDY NXT — in consecutive years. That record has made him a cornerstone of Andretti’s long-term vision following his rookie IndyCar season with A.J. Foyt Racing in 2022.

“Kyle represents exactly what we strive for across TWG Motorsports and Andretti Global,” said team president Jill Gregory. “His blueprint for success has made him a key part of our IndyCar lineup defined by talent, tenacity and a relentless drive to win. Kyle’s growth and ambition reflect the strength of Andretti Global and our commitment to developing world-class competitors on and off the track.”

Kirkwood expressed excitement about continuing his journey with the organization, which has recently undergone significant restructuring under the TWG Motorsports umbrella.

“These are very exciting times for myself, Andretti Global and TWG Motorsports,” Kirkwood said. “I’d first like to thank the entire team and especially Dan Towriss and Jill Gregory for putting their trust in me. We’ve had an amazing three years together and our future is very bright. We have proven to be true contenders — and most recently, championship contenders. Between the new shop, leadership, teammates and the many evolving factors within the organization, I believe this team is an absolute powerhouse, and we’re so excited for the journey ahead.”

Kirkwood will be joined in Andretti’s 2026 lineup by newly signed teammate Will Power, the two-time IndyCar champion and 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner, as well as by 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson.
