Exclusive: Mona Singh Calls Filming Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela From The Ba***ds of Bollywood Tricky

Mona Singh is on cloud nine after the success of The Ba***ds of Bollywood. She collaborated with debutant director Aryan Khan to bring out the best in her character Neeta Singh. She spoke about the viral song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, which she recreated using advanced VFX. When we asked her about the challenges of filming the song, Mona opened up about the restrictions she had to follow while making sure the recreated version appears as real as possible.

She said, “I did not shoot with Bobby because his original version was already there. I had to shoot my bit. It was pretty tricky because we had to match all the steps right, to the T. Interestingly, there was this proper frame given to me – this is the only space I have to move in and out. I followed that.”

Opening up further, Mona emphasized on bringing the late ’90s back with the song. She spoke about wearing a similar costume and learning the same moves while preparing for the track. She added, “Right from the outfit to the makeup to the hairstyle – everything was taken care of. We did not want to lag in anything. But I was having fun. I was really having a lot of fun while making it look absolutely real.”

After Aryan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Mona is all set to star in Zee 5’s Thode Door Thode Paas, alongside Pankaj Kapur and Kunaal Roy Kapur. The show is premiering from November 7, 2025 on the OTT platform. The slice-of-life family series is all about heartwarming moments amid the family’s decision to go for a digital detox.
