Airtel has introduced an affordable 365-day prepaid plan that offers year-long validity, unlimited calls, and added benefits, making it ideal for users who want hassle-free connectivity without monthly recharges.
Airtel has launched an “unlimited” prepaid plan with a validity of 365 days. The plan will allow users to do away with monthly recharge and stay connected for a year. Airtel is offering these prepaid recharge plans with a validity of 365 days with free voice and national roaming across its networks in India. For ₹1,849, subscribers can avail unlimited voice calling and validity of 3,600 SMS per year for a year.
For ₹2,249, Airtel is also offering a variant of the above plan that includes 30 GB of data per year. This would be a suitable option for people who require data only occasionally.
For users who rely on their smartphones for internet connectivity and other services, Airtel also has a yearly plan that provides 365 days of validity and daily data. In some variants of the plan, up to 2.5 GB of data is being offered on a daily basis which translates into 730 GB of data a year.
Who can benefit from these plans?
As always, these plans with extended validity are particularly suited to the following segments:
Users who use a secondary SIM (calls/SMS only) – for those who use the secondary SIMs rarely and require little or no data, ₹1,849 plan is an excellent option.
Travellers/Users who want to stay away from recharges for a year – these are for those who value the convenience of a one-time payment
Users who are light data users
Heavy users, who use their smartphones on a day-to-day basis to stream music, videos, and content or to use data for work or other services – daily data variants of ₹2,249 plan and higher
With costs going up and a monthly recharge cycle becoming rather more tedious to keep up with, users are increasingly looking for alternatives, and that is where plans with long validity can help. Airtel seems to have catered to this need by offering plans at a variety of price and usage points that aim to serve both voice and data centric users.
