The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction is set to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (December 16). A total of 359 cricketers will go under the hammer to fill in 77 slots across the 10 teams ahead of the IPL 2026 season next year.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) pruned down a list which initially had 1350 cricketers registering for the mini auction down to 359 on Tuesday with 244 Indian cricketers and 115 foreign cricketers available in this list now.

The mini auction will be a one-day event this year with the auctions set to begin at 230pm IST or 1pm Abu Dhabi time. A total of 40 cricketers including the likes of Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and others have registered for a base price of Rs 2 crore at the auction.

There are other top Indian cricketers like Sarfaraz Khan and Prithvi Shaw, who have registered for a base price of just Rs 75 lakh. International cricketers like Quinton de Kock, Kusal Perera, Dunith Wellalage and George Linde hadn’t been part of initial list of registered cricketers but have been added to the pruned down list.
