Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam is all set to make his much-anticipated debut in the 2025-26 Big Bash League (BBL), playing for the Sydney Sixers in Australia’s top T20 tournament. The 15th season of the league will take place from December 14 2025 to January 25 2026, with games held at famous venues across Australia, from Perth Stadium to the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Babar Azam is set to make his first BBL appearance when the Sydney Sixers face the Perth Scorchers on Sunday at Perth Stadium. His presence for the entire season strengthens the Sixers’ batting lineup as they aim for success in one of the toughest T20 leagues in the world. Several of his Pakistan teammates will also be in Australia, adding more excitement to the tournament.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will play for the Melbourne Renegades, while left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the bowling for the Brisbane Heat.
