Rumour mills had it that the couple is over the moon and would soon announce the happy news of their pregnancy to their huge fanbase. Although Chaitanya and Sobhita have not yet responded, Nagarjuna has.

During an interview with Suman TV, Nagarjuna was asked whether he would become a grandfather, in response to speculation about Sobhita and Chaitanya’s pregnancy. At first, the veteran actor paused and laughed it off. However, when he was cajoled again, Nagarjuna subtly confirmed the news and said:
“I’ll let you know when the time is right.”

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot on December 4, 2024, at the Annapurna Studios, owned by actor, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya’s father. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor was asked about his post-marriage life. In his response, Naga explained that his life has been going ‘great’ after marriage as he and his wife have efficiently balanced their busy work and personal lives.
When Sobhita Dhulipala’s pregnancy rumours were rubbished
During the WAVES 2025 in Mumbai, Sobhita was seen in a traditional saree, and netizens rumoured that the look was styled in a way to conceal the actress’s baby bump. There were reports that Sobhita was donning loose silhouettes to hide her baby bump. However, a family insider has dismissed the pregnancy rumours. The source told ETimes:
“She wore anti-fit, not maternity. It’s amazing how a change in silhouette can birth a whole new storyline.”
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala bonded over Telugu language
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala gave a tell-all interview to The New York Times, giving fans an insight into the couple’s relationship. Among the over 100 languages spoken in the nation, Chaitanya and Sobhita bonded over their shared mother tongue, Telugu. However, Chaitanya revealed that his command of the language wasn’t as strong as his now-wife’s due to his upbringing.

Chaitanya was born in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, where Telugu is widely spoken. However, when he was still young, he moved to Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, where Tamil is the more commonly spoken language. Having spoken Tamil for most of his life, Chaitanya wasn’t as proficient in Telugu as before. However, speaking Telugu with Sobhita had brought him closer to his roots and made him feel more at home.
