I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Vogue Williams married Westlife singer Brian McFadden in 2011, but the pair separated after just three years
Vogue Williams has made a rather awkward confession about her marriage to Brian McFadden. The Irish presenter and podcaster started dating the Westlife heartthrob back in 2011.
The pair exchanged vows on 2 September 2012, in a romantic ceremony in Florence, Italy. But just three years down the line, they announced their split.
Since then, Vogue has moved on and married former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, and the couple now share three children. The 40-year-old recently appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
During an appearance on the Shagged, Married, Annoyed podcast, Vogue confessed she “made a mistake” by not quizzing previous contestants about just how challenging the jungle experience would be. She revealed that campmates would often pass the time by singing or inventing games, reports the Irish Mirror.
She explained: “You are filmed the whole day and I love being around people, I don’t spend time on my own, I can’t bear it, so it was fine, but they were very singy.”
Podcast presenter Chris Ramsay then shared his irritation with people who bring guitars to social gatherings, saying: “When I’m at a gathering and some f*****g t**t gets an acoustic guitar out, I want to wrap it around their head.”
This prompted Vogue to respond: “Honestly, that is the worst. I can’t.
“I used to be married to a singer and I’d be like….I’m just not a singy person because I’m s***e at it. I’m a really bad singer, I’m not a good dancer, and there was a lot of singing and dancing so I found that hard.”
Vogue has openly discussed feeling “humiliated” following her separation from Brian, 45. She acknowledges she “knew it was coming” for nearly a year before they officially called time on their relationship.
In an interview with Closer magazine, she reflected: “I wanted to be married with kids by the time I was 30. Fair play to anyone who managed to do that, but then when it didn’t happen for me, I was like I’m divorced at 31, this is way off plan.
“Not only was I really humiliated by that whole situation, and upset, I knew when it was coming for like a year, so it was more embarrassment by the time it happened.”
Vogue and Brian’s divorce became official in 2017. Soon afterwards, she crossed paths with Spencer whilst gearing up to film Channel 4’s The Jump.
At first, she “didn’t fancy” Spencer, confessing she would have scrolled right past him on a dating app. During a conversation about dating apps on her Vogue and Amber podcast, she explained: “You’re just judging someone completely on the way they look.
“And I always say this, Spencer is obviously gorgeous, but he wouldn’t have been my type when we met. And I would have swiped past him on a dating app.
“And then we met, and we were mad about each other because we just loved each other’s personalities. So, I think trying to meet somebody in real life, although it can be hard, can be a really amazing thing.”
Vogue and Spencer’s romance flourished rapidly after their initial meeting, and by June 2018 they exchanged vows at Spencer’s sprawling 10,000-acre family estate in Scotland.
