She was joined by Erika Jayne as a fellow guest on the episode, during which Andy remarked, “You’ve both dated guys named Tom…” Erica expressed shock on knowing that and asked, “Wait! Which Tom did you date?”

Brooks awkwardly laughed off the questions and referred to Brady as a “newscaster” in reference to his new role as a Fox Sports analyst. She playfully expressed her frustration by exclaiming “Andy!” and he replied with “Brady! Brady!” A visibly uncomfortable Brooks Nader almost cryptically confirmed the rumours. She made the “newscaster” remark, which made Andy double down on his comment and say, “Did you just describe yours [ex-boyfriend] as a newscaster?!” Brooks Nader’s exact words were:

“Well, one’s a newscaster, one’s in jail. So everything’s fine!”

For the unversed, the context of Brooks Nader’s “jail” remark was that Erica Jayne’s estranged husband, Tom Girardi, is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence for fraud. And the “newscaster” likely hinted at Tom Brady’s new career stint after hanging up of NFL boots, which included a 10-year, USD 375 million contract with Fox Sports to become their lead NFL analyst.

The two of them were seen mingling at Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July party and a Miami F1 party, as well as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, where they were reportedly seen chatting and dancing.
