Finn Wolfhard has been making headlines as it was announced that the actor-musician will host Saturday Night Live. During SNL’s Christmas show, hosted by Ariana Grande, it was announced that Finn Wolfhard will be hosting the January 17, 2026, show. Finn, with ASAP Rocky, will make his debut as a host, while the rapper will make his debut as a musical performer. Amid this announcement, Finn Wolfhard has been trending on social media. Finn Wolfhard is a famous Canadian actor and musician. He was born in 2002 and began his acting career in 2012 with a music video for the song Retro Oceans by the Vancouver band Facts. Two years later, in 2014, Finn made his TV debut in the series The 100 and later in Supernatural. Finn’s breakthrough came with his role as ‘Mike Wheeler’ in Stranger Things.

Finn was also featured in the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King’s It. He has also been a part of several TV series, including Carmen Sandiego, and several films like Dog Days, It Chapter Two, The Goldfinch, The Turning,  Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasi, Rules for Werewolves, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife, among others. Apart from being an actor, he also made his directorial debut with his comedy short film, Night Shifts, in 2020. With the return of Stranger Things with its 5th season, Finn Wolfhard has already won hearts. Now that he’s all set to host SNL, his fans were left excited about the same. 

Is Finn Wolfhard dating someone? Who is/was his girlfriend?

There’s not much information available about Finn Wolfhard dating someone currently. In an interview with Variety in August 2025, Finn said he had been single for a while. He shared that he has been focused on his professional life, and thus, he would like to use the term ‘deliberate’ to state that he has opted not to be in a committed relationship. He further mentioned that he doesn’t want to put his focus into ‘dating’ as he does not have much time to make that type of commitment, as he shared.

Talking about his dating history, Finn Wolfhard had a public relationship with Elsie Richter, the daughter of English actress Dolly Wells. Nothing much was known about their dating history, but the couple had been seen hanging out since March 2021, and in April of the same year, the duo shared photos of each other on social media. In June 2021, the duo made their relationship IG official.

Later, in an interview with The Washington Post, Finn shared that the reason he made his relationship public was that he was threatened to do the same, as some people started giving weird threats to them that personal information about them would be leaked if they won’t make their relationship official. Elsie is an actress, and it cannot be confirmed if she’s still in a relationship with Finn, but his statement that he’s single, a few months back, makes it clear that the relationship might have ended.
