Claudia Winkleman’s iconic black and white loafers were a wardrobe standout on the recent season of The Traitors, and Fearne Cotton just picked up a cherry-print pair for herself
It might be hard to narrow down one of Claudia Winkleman’s most iconic wardrobe pieces from the most recent season of The Traitors. The coats! The knitwear! Endless fingerless gloves! But if we had to pick one, it might well be her two-tone loafers.
Her black and white loafers from Duke and Dexter were branded with the words Faithful and Traitor, and it seems they’ve set a trend all of their own. Fearne Cotton was recently spotted wearing a pair from the same brand, opting for the red and white cherry-print pair which she called “some very lovely loafers.”

Fearne’s loafers are the Wilde Cherry Red Penny Loafers which come in sizes three to eight and are made from a bold cherry-red leathers with contrasting white vamps on the upper of the shoe. Contrast stitching gives them a vintage, retro look, and they’re decorated with cherry designs on the vamps for added playfulness.
You can also pick up black and white pairs which feature designs like cherries, bows and lipstick prints. Each pair of the Penny Loafers are made in Europe and fully lined with Italian hide, with cushioned in-socks that make them even more comfortable to wear.
They are priced at £270, which makes them more of an investment for most of us. However END currently has a pair of all-burgundy Duke and Dexter Wilde Penny Loafers on sale with 50% off, slashing them from £250 to £125 if you want a pair of the brand’s loafers for less.
Also at END is a great discount on Dr Martens’ similar Penton Heart Loafer which are now £82 down from £149. They also come in burgundy and white, with a heart shape cut out of the saddle strap across the middle.
We also love La Redoute’s £139.99 Signatures Sibylle Two-Tone Loafers in Leather which have a similar two-tone burgundy and white colourway and a more classic timeless design. All four pairs are made from 100% real leather, which means they’re hard wearing and should be sturdy enough to last a lifetime.
Fearne opted to style her Wilde Cherry Red Penny Loafers with bare legs and some colourful pink and burgundy striped socks, but the beauty of loafers is they can be paired with just about anything. From wide leg trousers and a shirt in the office, to jeans and a T-shirt for casual pub trips and dinner dates, they’re easy to make work in your wardrobe.
Claudia, meanwhile, styled her Wilde Penny Loafers with a pair of tailored tuxedo trousers and an oversized striped jumper in her signature edgy countryside look. But you could just as easily wear them with a midi dress, or dress them up with a mini skirt and bare legs in the warmer weather.
