Over 30 British celebrities and politicians appear in the Jeffrey Epstein files, including rock stars and prime ministers

The latest round of documents related to peadophile financier Jeffrey Epstein were released last week – sharing new insights into his network.

A roster of celebrity names emerged from the first round of Epstein files, spanning royals, prime ministers, rock legends, cultural figures and political heavyweights. Now, more files have been released and the list of names has lengthened after the US government released new files – which consisted of 180,000 images, 2,000 videos and 3 million pages.

Household names including Richard Branson, Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were mentioned in the second round of files. However, being named in the documents does not imply any wrongdoing and many who were previously named denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

Andrew might be the most frequently cited British figure across the trove Jeffrey Epstein-related documents, but he’s far from alone. The Epstein estate provided the list to the US House Oversight Committee.

In the first round of documents, more than 30 individuals were identified, including British personalities such as Sir David Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Adele and Mick Jagger. Former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s name crops up an eye-watering 173 times throughout the papers. Several other members of the Royal Family were also reportedly featured in the extensive database.

The roster represents a broad spectrum of British public life: from monarchy and political leadership to music royalty, cultural luminaries and outspoken activists who surface in the files across various scenarios – whether as tabloid fodder, fellow attendees at gatherings, or within diary entries, letters or media coverage.

Committee officials emphasise that inclusion in these papers doesn’t suggest any misconduct whatsoever, noting that individuals appear in vastly different circumstances, from casual social connections to particular professional exchanges. Numerous individuals have come forward regarding connections and refuted any wrongdoing.

Prince Andrew has consistently denied allegations made against him. Meanwhile, supermodel Campbell has also dismissed any awareness of his criminal behaviour, explaining she met him through shared acquaintances.

Jeffrey Epstein was a billionaire famed for mingling with celebrities, politicians, and leading academics. He was first detained in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 following accusations he paid a 14 year old girl for sex.

Scores of other underage girls recounted similar sexual abuse, yet prosecutors eventually permitted the financier to plead guilty in 2008 to an offence involving just one victim. He spent 13 months in a jail work-release programme.

So, which well-known British figures were named in the files?
