Drake Maye is OK after all.
The Patriots quarterback was removed from the team’s final injury report on Friday, indicating that he will be good to go for Super Bowl 2026 against the Seahawks in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday.
Maye was a limited participant in practices early last week because of a shoulder injury.
Concern about Maye grew louder last Friday when he missed practice completely with a combination of “injury and illness,” per Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, leading some to believe the signal-caller may be less than 100 percent for the Big Game.
Maye appeared to land on his throwing shoulder after a hard tackle during the Patriots’ AFC Championship win over the Broncos.
In that game, Maye threw for a season-low 86 yards while completing just 10-of-21 passes, fueling even more speculation that something might be up with the 2025 NFL MVP runner-up.
While the Patriots put any speculation to rest on Friday, Maye previously insisted that he’d be ready for Sunday’s game.
“I feel good. I’ll be just fine. I threw a good bit,” Maye said of his Monday workout. “I threw as much as I would in a normal practice, and it felt great.”
On the other side of the ball, New England linebackers Harold Landry III (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle) are both questionable to play after being limited in Friday’s practice.
Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold also comes into Sunday’s game with some injury concerns as he deals with a lingering oblique issue, although he told reporters earlier this week that he currently “feels great.”
In more good news for Seattle, star rookie safety Nick Emmanwori was listed as a full participant on Friday after an ankle injury scare on Wednesday.
