President Trump Reveals That Nancy Guthrie’s Kidnapper Has Possibly Been ID’d, ‘Answers Coming Up..’

The entire world is keeping its eyes peeled for the Nancy Guthrie missing case. For the unversed, she is the 84-year-old mother of the Today show host, Savannah Guthrie. According to reports, Nancy was last seen on January 31, 2026, and was reported missing when she did not show up for church the next day. At the time, investigators claimed that she was most likely kidnapped in her sleep. Since time is of the utmost importance in Nancy Guthrie’s missing case, many resources are being used to find her and bring her home safely. Amid this, US President, Donald Trump recently implied that the FBI or the Justice Department “could have some answers coming up very soon.”  

President Donald Trump says that the feds are close to cracking the kidnapping case of Nancy Guthrie 

It was just earlier this week that President Trump announced that he would be “deploying all resources” to find Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today anchor, Savannah Guthrie. This announcement came in the form of a post on Trump’s social media app, Truth Social. Now, on Air Force One, Friday night, Trump confessed that the investigators have already made significant progress on the case while speaking with the reporters present there. While acknowledging that a lot of things have happened in the past few hours regarding Savannah’s mom’s case, he said: 

“We have some things, I think that will maybe come out reasonably soon, from DOJ or FBI, or whoever, that could be, could be definitive. A lot has taken place in the last couple of hours. A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.” 

That’s not all, when asked about the federal assistance provided for the case, President, Donald Trump confidantly stated what he thinks of the matter. He said that they are “doing very well on that regard.” Trump even revealed that they might have identified a possible suspect. He added: 

“Very well meaning we have some clues, I think that are very strong, and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon.”  

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department on the new message in Savannah Guthrie’s mother’s case 

On February 6, 2026, Friday evening, the Lima County Sheriff’s Department revealed that they are fully aware of “a new message” concerning Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie. Stating that the FBI is also aware of this, they claimed they are actively investigating the information, especially whether it is authentic. After the revelation, the sheriff’s department took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle to post about how they are in the midst of “follow-up” activities at the Guthrie residence. Furthermore, they also mentioned that the road which leads up to the residence has restricted entry “to provide investigators space.” Other locations near the Guthrie residence will also be examined in case they present new clues.

While the investigators are all doing their best to locate Nancy Guthrie, you would be mistaken to think that her family is sitting idly by in a situation where every second counts. For those unaware, Nancy’s relatives have made a public appeal for evidence of life. They are also willing to get in direct contact with anyone who may be responsible for kidnapping Nancy.  

Currently, the FBI has announced a reward of up to USD 50,000 while encouraging the general public to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) with any information that could be substantial in figuring out where Nancy Guthrie is.
